A ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Police Academy headquarters in New Cairo on the occasion of the Conscript Day.

The ceremony was attended by Assistant Interior Minister and Head of the Police Academy Maj. Gen. Mohamed El Sherbiny.

In his speech, Sherbiny said "Being a soldier is an honor and a mission, through which the citizen undertakes a part of his duty towards his country."

At the end of the ceremony, Sherbiny honored distinguished conscripts and officers and granted them certificates of appreciation and financial rewards.
