A police officer who arrested two car thieves in a stolen car in Fayyoum city refused to accept a bribe to release them.
According to a police report, two members of a gang who were traveling in a car, earlier stolen from Giza governorate, asked the officer to release them in exchange for EGP 9,000 that they had with them.
The officer, captain Mohamed Sho'la, refused the bribe and notified prosecution authorities to start investigations.
