Security forces in North Sinai have thwarted a bid to blow up a gas pipeline in Central Sinai.The pipeline carries gas to the heavy industry zone in the region.The gas pipeline was hit by blasts for almost 19 times since February 2011.Explosions targeting the gas pipelines were suspended during the rule of ousted president Mohammad Morsi, but they started to take place again on January 27.
