One policeman was shot dead Wednesday while two others were injured in a terrorist attack on security forces near the city of Sousse.

According to a security source, unknown assailants, riding a motorbike, opened fire on the security forces in the coastal city of Sousse. One of them was hit and died in hospital.

The policemen were standing on the highway waiting for their bus to go for Kairouan city.

The shooting came less than two months after a gunman killed 30 Britons and eight other foreign tourists on a beach in Sousse, in an attack claimed by Daesh.
