A police officer was killed during a security operation to arrest a non-commissioned police officer accused of killing three persons in a fight in a Sharqiya village.

The security campaign targeted the village of “Gezeret El Saada” to arrest the NCO, who opened fire on the security force, killing the police major.

A brawl erupted between two families in the day before that saw the use of firearms and sticks, leaving three persons dead, including footballer Khaled Abdel Salam, and five more seriously injured.
