A non-commissioned police officer was killed on Saturday when a suspected bomb he was defusing went off in a farm in Gharbiya, a security source with the Interior Ministry said.
Earlier, security bodies received a report that a blast hit a farm in a Gharbiya village and that two injured people with a third one fled the place in a car following the incident, according to the source.
The source added that when security forces and civil defense teams moved to the place, they found materials to make explosive devices and unidentified objects.
One of these objects exploded when a non-commissioned police officer was trying to defuse it, killing him, the source said.
