Two masked gunmen riding a motorbike threw a hand grenade at the house of a non-commissioned police officer in Al Arish, the local capital of North Sinai, security sources said on Friday.

The blast destroyed parts of the house's walls while the officer sustained bruises.

The policeman was moved to a nearby hospital.
