A policeman was wounded Sunday in a firefight with four criminals in Qalioubia, north of Cairo.
Three of the attackers were arrested with firearms in their possession.
Search are underway to arrest the fourth criminal.
In Beheira in northern Egypt, firefighters extinguished a fire that erupted at a textile factory in Edko township.
No casualties were reported.
The owner of the factory blamed a short circuit for the blaze.
