A police officer was wounded Sunday while dispersing a rally by the blacklisted Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group in Giza's southern town of Al Badrasheen.
"Mahmoud Abo El Magd, first lieutenant, was shot in the leg," a security source said, adding that he was carried to hospital for treatment.
Sunday is the fourth anniversary of the January 25 revolution.
