Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on Friday said that Egyptians do not accept any regime in the name of religion.

Pope Tawadros made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanese Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al Rahi.

He added that the Egyptian people are now on the right track after millions of people expressed their opinions and chose their own way life.

The Egyptian right track includes the new Suez Canal mega project and the development project of the Suez Canal region (East Port Said), the pope said.
