Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Marks Diocese led Good Friday Mass at the Cathedral in Abbassiya.

Good Friday is a Christian religious holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.

The holiday is observed on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.

Security measures have been tightened in the vicinity of the Cathedral.
