Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim sacked on Thursday the Port Said security chief for negligence.
The minister's decision came during a surprise visit to the coastal governorate where he noticed negligence in addressing security issues.
Deputy Security Chief Fyasal Dwidar was appointed as the new security chief.
