Prime Minister Sherif Ismail praised Egyptian-Saudi relations as strong, adding that launching the Egyptian-Saudi coordination council highlighted the keenness of both countries to enhance ties for the welfare of their nations.

These remarks came during Ismail's meeting held Saturday with the International Cooperation Minister Saher Nasr.

Nasr posted the premier on the outcome of the meeting held with the representatives of the concerned ministries to implement the articles of Cairo Declaration.

The concerned ministries are Finance, Electricity, International Cooperation, Housing, Agriculture, Education, Transportation, Petroleum, Manpower and Culture.

The representatives of these ministries gathered to prepare for the second meeting of the Egyptian-Saudi coordination council to be held next week in Cairo.

The international cooperation minister said that the get-together took up steps taken by the Egyptian side to implement agreements inked with the Saudis as part of the Cairo Declaration signed between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Saudi Deputy Crown Prince, Defense Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
