President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted on Wednesday Egypt as well as other Muslim and Arab states over the advent of Eidual Adha.

In a statement by the presidency, Sisi said "this Bairam provides a sublime value of sacrifice that all of us should cherish while serving our nation to realize security and stability for a better future for our kids."

He lauded the efforts exerted by army and police personnel to eradicate terror in Sinai.

He said they sacrifice their souls to defend their nation and confront terror and extremism.

He hailed the achievements realized during the first stage of the Martyr's Right operation in Sinai that have largely contributed to curbing terror in Egypt.

Sisi underlined the importance of proceeding with the second stage with the same resolve and determination of the first stage.

Eidul Adha is celebrated by Muslims across the world to honor Abraham's (Ibrahim) willingness to sacrifice his only son Ishmael upon God's command.
