Iraqi President Foud Massoum asserted that Iraq will defeat terrorism despite all hardships, praising the role of international backing and Italy's assistance for Iraq in its war against the terrorism of Daesh militant group.

The Iraqi president remarks were made during his meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iraq Massimo Morati.

The two sides probed means of bolstering cooperation in the economic, agricultural and academic fields.
