Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi (2nd R) attending the Eid al-Adha prayers in the Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi Mosque in Cairo

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi performed Eidul Adha (Greater Bairam) prayers at Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi Mosque in the Fifth Settlement on Monday.

Parliament Speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, Defense Minister Sedki Sobhi and other statesmen performed Eid prayers with Sisi.
Presidential adviser for religious affairs Osama el Azhari delivered the Eid sermon.

He hailed the Islamic ritual of Hajj as a great mandatory religious duty that carries important messages from Allah to the world.

Azhari added that the greatest message delivered by Hajj is the security message that has been emphasized in the verses "And when said Ibrahim, My Lord! Make this city safe" and "And whosoever entereth it is safe".

Hajj also aims to encourage people to think and create the civilization that helps its owners to reach to Allah, as Allah says "Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and lying on their sides and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth," he added.
