A military force of the presidential guards arrived at the surrounding of Aden airport on Thursday to back popular committee members defending the vital facility in face of security forces loyal to Houthis.
Casualties were reported from the clashes.
Flights have been earlier suspended at the main runway of the airport because of the clashes.
