Two suspects were arrested Saturday over armed robbery of a priest of Mari Girgis Church in Khanka district in Qaliyoubiya governorate.

The thieves robbed the priest under duress.

The priest said he was driving his car in Qaliobiya's Abu-Za'bal area when a car suddenly veered onto his car, three thieves came out, forced him to stop at gunpoint, stole his belongings and fled the scene.

They failed to take the car as people massed.

Policemen are still searching for the third suspect.

Police investigations uncovered that the three formed a gang for robbing cars.
