Qalubiya sappers defused a primitive bomb that was planted near the electricity administration building in Banha city.
Qalubiya Security Director General Mahmoud Youssri said police troops cordoned off the scene and defused the bomb.
The area and its surroundings were combed in search for other explosives.
Prosecution was notified to launch a probe.
