A Saudi soldier has been killed after being hit by a shell in the southern border city of Najran, the Saudi forces joint command said in a statement.
The statement offered condolences to the family of the soldier.
Yemen's Houthi rebels have been launching sporadic attacks on the Saudi southern border since Saudi Arabia led an Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in the neighboring Arab country.
On Thursday, 15 Saudi security officers were killed after a suicide bombing targeted a mosque used by the special forces in the southern Saudi city of Abha.
