Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat has ordered the release of 120 inmates held in custody pending investigations.
The inmates, including students and elderly, face charges of inciting violence and riot acts.
In a statement on Monday, Barakat said that he is closely following up the cases of all detainees who are held in custody pending investigations.
