The Supreme State Security Prosecution on Saturday complained against a court that runs the trial of ousted President Mohamed Morsi over charges of espionage.
During a session on Thursday, the trial's judge referred the case prosecutor for internal probe for what the judge considered a violation of the trial proceedings.
"By this measure, the court violated norms of the judiciary in Egypt," said the general prosecution in a statement.
The prosecution filed a report to Prosecutor General Nabil Ahmed Tawfiq Sadek who passed it to the Supreme Judicial Council.
During a meeting with prosecutor Diaa Abed, who was referred for internal probe by the court's judge, Sadek hailed his performance during the trial.
