Prosecutors have inspected the scene of the assassination attempt of Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat while en route to work Monday.

They inspected the scene of the crime and the damage caused to the public prosecutor's car, his escort's cars and private vehicles that were passing by or parking during the blast.

The prosecutors also ordered the security agencies and National Security police at the Interior Ministry to fully investigate the terrorist crime and identify the perpetrators.

Eye witnesses and security escort team members will give their testimonies shortly if their condition allows.
