Qalubiya security chief Saeed Shalaby inspected the ongoing operations to extinguish a fire that erupted at a starch and glucose factory in Shobra el Khima and killed five people earlier on Saturday.

The fire, caused by a blast in one of the boilers in the factory, left six others wounded, including a non-commissioned police officer.

The security official followed up the ongoing cooling operations that are aimed to prevent the re-eruption of the fire.
