The Ezz El-Din Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, unveiled details of an infiltration operation by their elements into Israel on Monday in Shuja'iyya neighborhood of eastern Gaza.
The brigades said that they killed 19 Israeli soldiers, raising the Israeli army's death toll to 110 since the ground invasion against Gaza on July 17.
In a statement released on Monday night, the brigades said "A combat formation of Qassam elite personnel managed at 18:45 hrs on Monday to perform a landing operation behind the enemy's lines and targeted an armored military watchtower, killing all Israeli soldiers in it".
"Qassam militants tried to capture the Israeli soldiers but the situation prevented that" the statement read, adding that ten Israeli soldiers were killed, many others injured and a weapon was seized.
The brigades affirmed that all operators came back safely.
