PM and minister of interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani


HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani on Wednesday took part in the opening session of meetings of the 32nd session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Interior taking place in the Palais des Nations-Club des Pins over days.
The session was attended by the Ministers of the Interior in the Arab countries, high-level security delegations and representatives of the Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Arab Maghreb Union, the International Criminal Police Organization ( INTERPOL), the International Civil Defence Organisation, the Arab Organization for Tourism, the Arab Authority for Civil Aviation, the Naif Arab University For Security Sciences and Arab Police Sporting Federation.
The session will discuss a number of reports on the implementation by the member States of the Arab strategy to the Arab Strategy to Combat the Illegal Use of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances; the Arab Security Strategy; the Arab Strategy to Combat Terrorism; the Arab Strategy for Traffic Safety; the Arab Strategy for Civil Defense in addition to the annual report to follow up the implementation of the Arab Convention on the Fight against Terrorism.
The session also discuss the report of the Council Secretary-General on the work of the Secretariat during the year 2014, in addition to the recommendations of the conferences and meetings held within the scope of the Secretariat during the year 2014, and the outcomes of joint meetings with the Arab League during the same year, as well as a number of other topics, including the establishment of an Arab Intellectual Security Office.
