Member of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Executive Committee Ahmed Qurei condemned ultra-Orthodox Jews' aggression on Al Aqsa mosque under the protection of Israeli police.

In a statement on Wednesday, Qurei, who doubles as the head of Al Quds affairs at PLO, accused Israeli authorities of detaining Palestinian worshipers and desecrating the mosque.

Qurei praised the role of the Palestinians in defending the sanctuaries of Al Quds.
