Rafah border crossing was closed Saturday after being open for one week in both directions on the advent of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
It opened to allow stranded passengers and humanitarian aid to Gaza Strip.
The number of passengers reached 5,184, as 4,044 individuals came to Egypt form the enclave, while 1.140 ones left the country to the strip, according to official sources.
Meanwhile, 194 trucks loaded with construction materials entered the strip.
