Rafah crossing

Rafah crossing remained open on both sides on Wednesday to allow humanitarian cases to reach the Gaza Strip over three days in implementation of a decision by the Egyptian authorities to this effect on Monday.
Passengers have been using the terminal since Monday, an official source at the crossing said, referring to a total of 963 along with 30 tons of medical relief aid offered by Saudi King Abdallah.
The Rafah crossing was closed down in the wake of an attack on security forces at Karam el Qawadis checkpoint but was re-opened for three days starting Monday to allow stranded passengers and relief aid to transit.
