The Rafah border terminal with the Gaza Strip remained open on Friday for the seventh day in a row to allow stranded Palestinians and aid supplies into the coastal enclave.
The crossing first opened on Saturday for three days but the Egyptian authorities decided to keep it open till Friday in celebration of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The Rafah terminal had been closed following the Karm el Qawadis terrorist attack on October 24, 2014.
