H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, and H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, yesterday attended the popular celebrations, hosted by Sultan bin Ali bin Saif Al Khatiri at Al Sa'adi Area, Ras Al Khaimah, on the occasion of the UAE's 43rd National Day anniversary.
The RAK Ruler said that today's celebrations are a continuation of the progress and welfare march to achieve further development of the homeland and the UAE citizens under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
He added that the welfare that the country is witnessing is a result of the Union, which had been established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and supported by the Founding Fathers and the Emiratis.
The celebrations included a number of activities which depicted the history of the nation and its cultural and social heritage.
On his part, Al Khatiri said the celebrations embody one of the forms of belonging to the beloved country and loyalty to the wise leadership as well as gratitude towards the founder of the country, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the Founding Fathers, who established various facets of the homeland.
He also extended congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Supreme Council Members and Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates.
