Random shells from unknown sources struck a power station in the Libyan city of Benghazi on Friday.

A security source told MENA that the shelling caused power outage in Kuwayfīyah area in northern Benghazi.

No casualties were reported among the staff of the station, it added.

The power plant is the main source of electricity in Benghazi.
