Cairo Criminal Court

The Cairo Criminal Court adjourned Saturday the re-trial of eight defendants over targeting Suez Canal to April 18.
The defendants, among 18 others, were sentenced to death in absentia in previous trial sessions, as they were convicted of forming terrorist cells in Cairo, Dakahlia, and Damietta governorates to manufacture missiles and explosives for targeting transiting vessels in the international waterway.
Investigations revealed that they committed these acts between 2004 and 2009.
