The London based Syrian Observatory For Human Rights (SOHR) said that the regime forces controlled 75 percent of Zabadani city after fierce clashes with the Islamic opposition factions.

The SOHR said that the regime forces have been supported by units affiliated to Lebanese Hezbollah Party, Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) and the National Defense Forces, the SOHR said in a statement quoted by the US-funded Radio Sawa.

It also said that the city was raided by about 14 barrels of explosive substances.
