A senior Libyan official said on Tuesday that releasing Egyptian fishermen who were detained by Libyan authorities after entering the Libyan territorial water without permit came in appreciation of the political leadership and status of Egypt.
A released statement by the Egyptian Agriculture Ministry said Ibrahim bin Bash affirmed that they were released without any preconditions.
Twenty-one Egyptian fishermen have been detained in Libya over violation of the territorial waters of the North African country.
