The Envoy of the Arab League to Sudan, Dr Salah Halima considered release of political detainees a positive step toward creating conducive political climate for national dialogue.
Ambassador Halima in a statement to SUNA described meeting of Mechanism of National Dialogue(7+7) under chairmanship of President of the Republic, field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir as political détente for boosting national dialogue which would draw up roadmap for future political work in Sudan.
He added that there response and good spirit towards taking steps for boosting national dialogue. Ambassador Halima renewed support of the Arab League to imitative which was launched by President of the Republic on comprehensive national dialogue in Sudan, calling on political forces, and armed movements to response and participate in dialogue to address the national issues.
