The Cairo Criminal Court delayed to April 28 the retrial of seven defendants over charges of inciting violence and broadcasting false news about Egypt through the screen of the Qatari-funded Al Jazeera English news channel.

The session was adjourned to receive confirmations from the Journalists Syndicate and the State Information Service that Al Jazeera journalist Peter Greste had obtained a work permit.
