Cairo Criminal Court decided on Sunday to postpone until July 13 the retrial of businessman Ahmed Ezz for allegedly illegally acquiring Ezz El-Dekheila (EZDK) steel plant.

He was accused of squandering public money worth 5 billion pounds in relation to the improper acquisition and use of the license.

In December 2013, Ezz was granted a retrial by the Court of Cassation, which revoked an earlier sentence of 37 years against him.
