The Security Council of Russia asserted Tuesday that the task of Russia in Syria is to protect its interest and also to protect the security of other states from international terror.

Secretary of the council Nikolai Patrushev said that terrorist organizations including Daesh, Qaeda and Nusra Front intensify their activities in North Africa and the Middle East, asserting that this represents risk to many states including Russia.
