Chairman of the Reform and Development Party Mohamed Anwar El Sadat on Sunday urged chiefs of the winning parties in the recent legislative elections to hold an urgent meeting.
The meeting aims to consult on the parliamentary agenda and issues that will be discussed by the newly elected House of Representatives, Sadat said in a statement.
He called for establishing a parliamentary academy to brief new MPs on their roles and supervisory and legislative tools.
Sadat urged the MPs to spare no effort to restore the confidence of citizens who did not participate in the recent elections.
