Salloum border crossing was closed to truck traffic as of Wednesday, said Matrouh Security Chief.
El-Anani Hamouda added the move was taken upon request by the Libyan authorities due to the Independence Day occasion in Libya.
The decision is only applied to the trucks heading for the Libyan territories, Hamouda underscored.
