Unidentified men assassinated the Investigation Chief of the Western Zone in Sanaa Colonel Mohamed el Hajj el Qodsy.

The gunmen were ridding a motorcycle when they opened fire on el Qodsy in front of the western security zone gate and then fled the scene, said an official security source.

The security apparatuses are now tracking down the perpetrators to arrest them, the source told the Yemeni News Agency.
