Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Monday chaired a Cabinet session in Riyadh.
Saudi Minister of Culture and Information Adel bin Zaid Altoraifi told the Saudi Press Agency that the Cabinet reviewed the latest developments following the end of the Operation Decisive Storm after it has achieved its objectives.
The Cabinet also discussed the Operation Renewal of Hope that confirms the Saudi-led coalition's keenness that the Yemeni people restore their security and stability far away from foreign domination and intervention aiming at inciting sedition and sectarianism, the Saudi minister said.
The Saudi king thanked the armed forces that participated efficiently and effectively in the operation and imposed air control to prevent any attack against the Kingdom and regional countries, the minister added.
The Cabinet also thanked Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi for his appreciation of the coalition for the immediate response to his appeal for military intervention in Yemen to protect the Yemeni people from the Houthi aggressive acts.
The King briefed the Cabinet on his talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on bilateral relations, aspects of cooperation between the two countries and the latest regional and international developments.
He also briefed the Cabinet on his telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, a message received from Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro Moros and his meeting with the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius.
