Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef phoned Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to offer condolences over the death of his mother.

According to the Saudi press agency (WAS), Prince Mohammed expressed sincere and deep sympathy with President Sisi.

Sisi, on his part, thanked the Saudi crown prince for his heartfelt condolences and wished him the best.

The president had received several telephone calls and cables of condolences from world leaders over the demise of his mother.

The mother of Sisi died early on Monday and the funeral had been limited to family members only.
