Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has pressed for protecting Saudi interests as well as the country's economic gains.
This came in a speech read out by Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during the inauguration of Majlis Al-Shura's session in Riyadh.
King Abdullah added that the Majlis Al-Shura plays an important role in facing the challenges against the state.
He also called for protect Saudi Arabia against the dangers of civil wars and sectarian conflicts.
