King Salman bin Abdel Aiziz of Saudi Arabia asserted that his country will always stand by Yemen's people to restore their freedom among the Arab family.

During a speech to the Riyadh conference on Yemen on Wednesday, read out by Abdel Latif al Zayyani, the secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Saudi king said that he is confident that the Yemeni people will be able to overcome their crises.

He said the kingdom and other GCC states responded to the legitimate government of Yemeni President Mansour Hadi to maintain the gains of the Yemeni people and confront the threats that beset Yemen.
