Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz Aal Alsheikh on Wednesday praised an initiative by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz to reconcile between Egypt and Qatar.
In a weekly broadcast program, the mufti said that mending the Egyptian-Qatari relations saves the interest of the Arabs and Muslims as well.
"The immediate response of the two countries was due to their knowledge of King Abdullah's keenness on the nation's higher interests," Alsheikh underscored.
