A Saudi policeman was killed in clashes between security forces and drug dealers in Jazan region in southern the kingdom, a spokesman said on Thursday.

Sergeant Faisal Hassan al-Qaisi died of wounds he sustained in the clashes that erupted in the province of Aldarb in Jazan region on Wednesday night, the Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said.

A drug dealer was killed and one kg of hashish was seized, the spokesman added.
