Saudi security forces intensified their efforts to uncover circumstances of a bomb explosion that targeted a security patrol in Al-Kharj city on Saturday night.

The attack left a resident dead.

In press statements on Sunday, the Saudi Interior Ministry spokesman said the security patrol was stopping near a police station when the explosion occurred.

Competent security bodies launched a probe into the incident, the spokesman added.
