The Saudi Royal Court has mourned former Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al Faisal who died earlier on Thursday.

In a statement, the Saudi court said the funeral prayers would be performed for the deceased prince at Makkah Grand Mosque on Saturday evening.

The late prince was the world’s longest-serving foreign minister as he was appointed in 1975. He was replaced on April 29 by Adel Al Jubeir.
